ESIC Regional Director/Director Recruitment 2026 – Overview
ESIC has released notification for recruitment of Regional Director Grade 'A'/Director posts across India on deputation (including Short-Term Contract) basis. This recruitment is open for candidates with a Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in administrative, financial, or social security domains. Selected candidates will receive a salary in Pay Level 13 (₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900/-) depending on experience and designation.

Vacancy Details
Total 58 vacancies in the cadre of Regional Director Grade 'A'/Director on deputation/short-term contract basis. Department-wise and state-wise details are as per ESIC official notification. The tenure of deputation shall not exceed three years, with scope for extension on mutual agreement.
Eligibility Criteria
- Nationality: Indian citizen.
- Qualification: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial, administrative matters or dealing with social security schemes/labour laws.
- Government Officers: Minimum 5 years’ regular service in Level-12 (₹78,800-2,09,200) or equivalent post.
- Private Sector Professionals: Relevant experience in administration or social security domain will be considered.
- Ability to be posted anywhere in India.
- Departmental officers in the feeder category are not eligible.
Salary / Pay Scale
- Pay Level 13: ₹1,23,100 – ₹2,15,900/- per month depending on the post and experience.
- Additional allowances admissible as per ESIC rules and government provisions.
- Selected candidates will continue to draw pay + allowances if deputed from government service.
Age Limit
The maximum age-limit for candidates shall not exceed 56 years as on the last date of receipt of applications.
Selection Process
Selection will be purely on deputation/short-term contract basis. Eligible candidates must submit applications through proper channel along with required documents. Shortlisting and final selection will be based on:
- Relevant work experience.
- Educational qualifications.
- Vigilance clearance, integrity certificate, and APARs/CRs of last five years.
- Merit-based assessment by ESIC Selection Committee.
