NIHFW Professor & Reader Recruitment 2026 – Overview
NIHFW has released notification for recruitment of Professor (Epidemiology) [Medical] and Reader (Community Health Administration) posts. Eligibility Criteria
- Professor (Epidemiology) [Medical]: MD (CHA/PSM/Community Medicine)/DNB (SPM) + 8 years post-PG teaching experience including 3 years as Associate Professor. Must have 4 research publications (2 as Associate Professor) in indexed journals. Basic courses in Medical Education Technology & Biomedical Research mandatory.
- Reader (Community Health Administration): MD (CHA/PSM/Community Medicine) or equivalent + 5 years experience as Lecturer/Assistant Professor in relevant subject. Evidence of published work in last 5 years required.
- Desirable for both posts: Administrative experience, epidemiological research experience, familiarity with health & family welfare programs.
Salary / Stipend
- Professor (Epidemiology) [Medical]: ₹1,44,200/- to ₹2,18,200/- + NPA
- Reader (Community Health Administration): ₹79,800/- to ₹2,11,500/-
Age Limit
Up to 50 years (Relaxable up to 5 years for Govt. servants & employees of autonomous institutes under Govt.)
