Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent from a recognized University/Institution in India.
- Equivalent qualifications include Diplomas in Civil Draftsman, Civil Technology, Construction Technology, Transportation Engineering, etc.
- Basic computer knowledge required as per Gujarat Civil Services rules.
- Language: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
- Citizenship: Candidate must be an Indian citizen as per Gujarat Civil Service Rules.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering holders are NOT eligible.
Salary / Pay Scale
- First 5 years: Fixed salary of Rs. 26,000/- per month.
- After 5 years: Regular appointment in Pay Level-4 (Rs. 25,500 – Rs. 81,100/-).
- Other government benefits will apply as per rules.

- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 33 years
- Relaxations for women, reserved categories, PwD, and ex-servicemen as per rules.

Selection Process
Selection will be done through a **competitive online examination (CBRT/OMR)** in two parts:
- Part-A (90 Marks): Reasoning & Data Interpretation (30), Quantitative Aptitude (30), Constitution & Current Affairs, Gujarati & English Comprehension (30)
- Part-B (120 Marks): Questions related to Diploma/Technical Qualification
- Total: 210 questions / 210 marks, Duration: 3 hours
- Negative marking: 0.25 mark for wrong answer
- Minimum qualifying standard: 40% in both parts separately
- Merit list based on exam marks; 2x candidates called for certificate verification
