SJVN Apprentices Recruitment 2026 – Overview
SJVN Limited, a Nav Ratna Public Sector Undertaking and a Joint Venture of Government of India & Government of Himachal Pradesh, has released the official notification for recruitment of 100 Apprentices.
The apprenticeship program is conducted under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961, with training duration of one year and stipend ranging from ₹12,500 to ₹15,000 per month depending on the post.
Candidates will be selected on merit basis, and only domiciles of Himachal Pradesh are eligible to apply.

Eligibility Criteria
- Graduate Apprentices: 4-year full-time B.E / B.Tech in relevant branch from AICTE approved institute/university.
- Diploma Apprentices: 3-year full-time Polytechnic diploma from AICTE/State Board approved institute.
- ITI Apprentices: Matriculation + ITI in respective trade (NCVT/SCVT approved).
- Only Himachal Pradesh domiciles are eligible.
- Result awaited candidates and candidates with prior SJVN apprenticeship not eligible.
- Preference to Project Affected Families (PAF) / Project Affected Areas (PAA) – 25% of seats.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years, Maximum Age: 30 years (as on 15/01/2026)
- Relaxations: SC/ST +5 years, OBC (NCL) +3 years, PwBD varies from 10-15 years as per category
Stipend / Salary
- Graduate Apprentices: ₹15,000 per month
- Diploma Apprentices: ₹13,500 per month
- ITI Apprentices: ₹12,500 per month
- Training Duration: One Year (no extension)
Selection Process
- No Interviews. Selection is merit-based on academic performance.
- Graduate Apprentices: 10th – 20%, 12th/Diploma – 20%, Engineering marks – 60%
- Diploma Apprentices: 10th – 30%, Diploma marks – 70%
- ITI Apprentices: 10th – 30%, ITI marks – 70%
- Tie-breaking: Candidate senior in age considered higher merit.
- Document verification and medical fitness certificate mandatory before joining.
- Registration on BOAT / NAPS portal for selected candidates.

- General / UR / OBC: ₹100 (via debit/credit card / net banking)
- SC / ST / EWS / PwBD: Exempted
- Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance
