BTSC Eligibility Criteria 2026 – Detailed Explanation
Educational Qualification:
- Candidates must possess B.Tech (Dairy Technology) OR B.Sc (Dairy Technology) from a recognized university.
- OR Indian Dairy Diploma in Dairy Technology / Dairy Husbandry (IDD – DT/DH) from recognized institutions.
- IDD (DT/DH) qualified candidates must have minimum 2 years mandatory work experience in Government / Semi-Government / Private Dairy or Agriculture related institution.
- Experience certificate must be issued by Director, Animal Husbandry & Dairy Department, Bihar, Patna.
- All certificates including marksheets and experience proof must be issued on or before 13 March 2026.
Without valid experience certificate (where required), candidature will be rejected during document verification.
BTSC Age Limit 2026 (As on 01 August 2026)
- Minimum Age: 21 Years
- Maximum Age – General (Male): 37 Years
- General (Female): 40 Years
- BC / EBC (Male & Female): 40 Years
- SC / ST (Male & Female): 42 Years
- Divyang Candidates: Additional 10 Years Relaxation
- State Government Employees: 5 Years Relaxation

Selected candidates will receive Pay Band Rs. 9,300 – 34,800/- with Grade Pay Rs. 4,200/- (Level-6) under revised Bihar Government pay structure along with admissible allowances.
BTSC Selection Process 2026 – Detailed Pattern
- Computer Based Test (CBT) – 75 Marks
- Experience Marks – 25 Marks
- Final Merit List (Total 100 Marks)
- Document Verification
CBT will consist of 100 objective type questions. Duration: 2 Hours. Question Paper will be bilingual (Hindi & English). Each correct answer carries 1 mark. 0.25 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Minimum qualifying marks: General – 40%, BC/EBC – 36.5%, Extremely Backward – 34%, SC/ST/Women/Divyang – 32%. Normalization process will be applied if exam is conducted in multiple shifts.
