Eligibility Criteria Explained

Candidates must fulfil all eligibility conditions regarding education, experience, age, and other requirements as on the date of registration for the walk-in. Ineligible candidates will not be permitted to appear for the personal assessment.

Educational Qualification

Contractual Electrician

  • Passed Class 10th from a Government recognized Board
  • ITI Electrician (2 years) from a recognized institution
  • Electrical Permit for Workmen Part I & II is mandatory
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification work experience

Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical)

  • 3-year Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution
  • Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate of Competency (Part I, II, III & IV)
  • Minimum 1 year post-qualification work experience
  • Electrical Supervisor’s Certificate Part VIII is desirable

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 35 years
  • Age calculated as on date of registration for walk-in
  • 10th certificate will be treated as proof of date of birth

Other Eligibility Conditions

  • Domicile of Assam or Arunachal Pradesh is mandatory
  • Willingness to work in shifts and hazardous field conditions

Salary Structure and Benefits

Contractual Electrician

  • Fixed Emolument: ₹21,450 per month
  • Variable Emolument: ₹825 per working day
  • Payment based on attendance including paid leave and holidays

Contractual Associate Engineer (Electrical)

  • Fixed Emolument: ₹24,960 per month
  • Variable Emolument: ₹960 per working day
  • Emoluments include paid leave and holidays

The engagement is purely contractual for a period of six months or till completion of the OCS Nadua & East Khagorijan Project, whichever is earlier.

Selection Process

Selection will be based on Walk-in for Personal Assessment(s) conducted by Oil India Limited. The process is as follows:

  2. Walk-in for Personal Assessment(s) of 100 marks
  3. Assessment of professional knowledge and skills
  4. Evaluation of allied discipline knowledge and soft skills
  5. Final merit preparation based on marks obtained
  • Qualifying marks: 50 for all categories
  • Only candidates scoring 50 or above will be considered
  • Final selection strictly based on merit
