NIT Silchar Project Associate I Recruitment 2026 – Overview
NIT Silchar has released notification for recruitment of Project Associate I under SERB-CRG Project File Number CRG/2023/007346.
This recruitment is open for candidates with B.E/B.Tech, M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech in relevant areas with GATE qualification (non-GATE candidates also eligible as per ANRF guidelines).
Selected candidates will receive a fellowship of Rs.37,000/- per month and may get opportunity for Ph.D. admission.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential: B.E/B.Tech, M.Sc, M.E/M.Tech in ECE/EE/EIE/relevant area with GATE qualification
- Non-GATE candidates also eligible; fellowship as per ANRF guidelines
- Desirable: Knowledge in Semiconductor Devices, Nano/microelectronics, Thin Film Deposition, Device Fabrication, Electrical Characterization, TCAD simulation
- Upper age limit: 35 years (relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PWD/EWS as per GoI rules)
Salary / Stipend
- Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- per month
- Fellowship for non-GATE candidates will vary as per ANRF guidelines

Selection Process
