The number of fellowships may increase or decrease based on administrative requirements. A panel may be prepared for future vacancies valid for one year.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must satisfy the following eligibility conditions to attend the walk-in-interview:
- B.E./B.Tech in relevant discipline with First Division and valid NET/GATE score, OR
- M.E./M.Tech in relevant discipline with First Division at both Graduate and Post Graduate level
- Graduate and Post Graduate degree must be in the same discipline
- NET/GATE is mandatory for B.E/B.Tech candidates
Age Limit
- Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as on date of walk-in)
- Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Government of India rules
Stipend / Fellowship Amount
- Monthly Stipend: Rs. 37,000/-
- House Rent Allowance: As per rules
- Initial Tenure: 02 Years (extendable as per DRDO norms)
Application Fee
- General / OBC Candidates: Rs. 10/-
- SC / ST Candidates: Exempted
Fee can be paid through Demand Draft / Indian Postal Order in favour of “The Director, NSTL” payable at Visakhapatnam or via online transfer to SBI NSTL Branch.

- Written Test (Objective Type) – if required
- Personal Interview
- Final Selection based on interview performance
A panel of selected candidates will be prepared for current and future requirements.
