Eligibility Criteria
- Project Associate II (PAT-II): M.Sc. in Horticulture/Agriculture/Biological Sciences with 2 years research experience. Desirable: experience in floricultural crops with publications.
- Project Assistant II (PA-II): B.Sc. from recognized university. Desirable: computer knowledge, project data handling, outreach activities in schools.
- Candidates must be Indian citizens. Age relaxation: SC/ST/PwBD/Women – 5 yrs, OBC – 3 yrs, as per Govt. rules.
Salary / Stipend
- Project Associate II (PAT-II): Rs. 35,000/- + HRA for NET/GATE/National exams qualified; Rs. 28,000/- + HRA for others.
- Project Assistant II (PA-II): Rs. 20,000/- + HRA (consolidated).
Walk-in Interview Details
- Date: 09 January 2026
- Reporting Time: 09:30 AM
- Last Reporting Time: 10:00 AM (late candidates will not be allowed)
- Venue: CSIR-IHBT, Palampur, Distt. Kangra (H.P.)
- Tenure of Project: Up to 31-03-2026 for both posts
Selection Process
- Selection through Walk-in-Interview at scheduled date/time/venue.
- Selection committee may conduct direct interview or objective test followed by interview.
- Number of selected candidates may vary depending on performance.
General Instructions
- Engagement is purely temporary/co-terminus with project tenure; no claim for regular employment.
- Separate application forms required for each position code if applying for multiple posts.
- Bring originals and self-attested copies of educational/experience certificates for verification.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Performance will be reviewed every six months; underperforming candidates may be terminated.
- Director CSIR-IHBT’s decision is final regarding engagement and selection.

Eligible candidates may appear for Walk-in-Interview on 09 January 2026 at CSIR-IHBT, Palampur, Distt. Kangra (H.P.). Bring the application in prescribed format with recent passport-size photo, self-attested photocopies, and all original certificates for verification. For multiple positions, submit separate forms. Directions: by train (Una, Amb, Chakki Bank, Pathankot), by bus (ISBT Palampur), by air (Dharamshala, Gaggal Airport).
