Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance Council (BIRAC) has invited online applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Technical Assistants on contract basis. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must possess a Master’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field such as Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Genetics, Public Health or similar disciplines from a recognised university.
Experience:
Post-qualification, candidates should have at least two years of experience
Technical & Domain Skills
- Strong understanding of life sciences research processes, scientific methodology and terminology.
- Analytical and administrative skills to handle complex information and deadlines.
- Prior experience with scientific grant writing, peer review processes or research program management.
- Proficiency in using grant management systems or scientific portals is preferred.
Salary / Stipend
- The consolidated monthly remuneration for the Technical Assistant post will be between Rs. 38,500/- to Rs. 1,05,000/- depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
- This remuneration is paid as a lump sum amount and does not include additional allowances unless specified under project terms.
Age Limit
- Maximum age: 35 years as on the last date of application.
- Age relaxation, if applicable, will be as per BIRAC rules and guidelines.
General Information & Instructions
- This appointment will be on a “Contract for Service” basis initially for a period of three (03) years.
- The duration of the associated project is currently till June 2027.
- Contract renewal will depend on project extension and satisfactory performance of the candidate.
- The total number of vacancies may change, decrease or be cancelled at the discretion of BIRAC.
