NRCD Young Professional Recruitment 2026 – Overview
NRCD, under the Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation, Ministry of Jal Shakti, has released the official notification for recruitment of 02 Young Professional posts (Civil & Environmental).
Interested candidates can apply offline through the official portal. Selected candidates will work on a contractual basis in New Delhi with a consolidated monthly salary of ₹50,000/-.

Eligibility Criteria
- Young Professional (Civil): B.Tech/B.E or M.Tech/M.E in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Desirable: 2 years technical experience in river cleaning projects, DPR preparation, or government schemes implementation.
- Young Professional (Environmental): B.Tech/B.E or M.Tech/M.E in Environmental Engineering or B.Sc in Environmental Science. Desirable: 2 years experience in river pollution abatement projects, technical examination, or DPR preparation.
Salary / Remuneration
- Consolidated monthly salary: ₹50,000/-
- No additional allowances
- Income tax and other applicable deductions at source
- No TA/DA for interview or joining
- Leave: 8 days per year on pro-rata basis; excess absence leads to proportionate deduction

Selection Process
- Submit application in prescribed format (Annexure) along with self-attested essential documents.

General Information / Instructions
- Contractual engagement initially for 1 year; extendable up to 3 years subject to guidelines.
- Place of Posting: NRCD, Pandit Deendayal Antyodaya Bhawan, CGO Complex, New Delhi.
- Confidentiality: Strict confidentiality on all NRCD data, reports, and internal processes.
- Conflict of Interest: Must follow GoI rules; unsatisfactory performance may lead to termination.
- Termination: Either side may terminate with 1 month notice or salary in lieu; absence >8 days without information leads to automatic termination.
- Working Hours: As per NRCD office timings; may require extra hours without additional pay.
Work Profile of Young Professionals
- Assist NRCD senior officers in technical examination of reports, datasets, and submissions related to river conservation.
- Provide analytical support for project appraisal and preparation of technical notes.
- Coordinate with states, technical institutions, and stakeholders to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
- Implement government schemes/projects in river cleaning and pollution abatement.
- Prepare DPRs (Detailed Project Reports) and other technical documentation.
