JNU Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Apply Offline for 01 Post
Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has released an official notification for recruitment of 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) post. Eligible candidates having M.Sc. (Physics) with CSIR-UGC JRF/NET or GATE qualification can apply offline. The last date to submit the application form is 15 January 2026.
JNU Junior Research Fellow Recruitment 2026 – Overview
Jawaharlal Nehru University has invited applications for the post of Junior Research Fellow under a sponsored research project. This recruitment is purely temporary in nature and meant for research work in the field of Physics. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria can submit their applications offline before the closing date. Selected candidates will receive a monthly fellowship along with HRA as per applicable rules.

Eligibility Criteria
- M.Sc. in Physics with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA.
- Degree should not be older than 3 years from the date of application.
- Candidate must have qualified CSIR-UGC JRF/NET or GATE.
Age Limit
- Maximum Age: 28 Years
- Age relaxation of 5 years for SC / ST / Physically Handicapped candidates.
Salary / Fellowship Details
Selected candidates will receive the following fellowship amount:
- ₹37,000 per month for the first two years.
- ₹42,000 per month for the third year.
- Additional 27% HRA as applicable.
