Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must meet all eligibility conditions as on 01 January 2026.

Educational Qualification

  • Graduate Apprentices: B.E/B.Tech or equivalent in Civil, Electrical, or S&T Engineering streams.
  • Technician (Diploma) Apprentices: Diploma in Civil, Electrical, or S&T Engineering streams.
  • Candidates must have passed in 2023, 2024, 2025, or 2026. Result awaited or back paper candidates are not eligible.
  • Applicants should not have previously undergone apprenticeship training in IRCON or elsewhere.
  • Maximum gap of 3 years after passing the qualifying exam is allowed.

Age Limit

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years
  • Age Relaxation: SC/ST = 5 years, OBC-NCL = 3 years (for reserved posts)

Stipend & Training Duration

  • Graduate Apprentices: ₹10,000/month (including DBT ₹4,500)
  • Technician Apprentices: ₹8,500/month (including DBT ₹4,000)
  • Training Duration: One year (no extension)
  • Completion of apprenticeship does not guarantee employment in IRCON

Selection Process

Selection is purely merit-based according to marks obtained in the essential educational qualification.

  • No interview will be conducted.
  • Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification.
  • Medical fitness certificate must be produced before joining.

  • Register on www.mhrdnats.gov.in as a “Student” before applying.
  • Only one application per candidate per post per location is allowed.
  • Percentage must be mentioned exactly as per consolidated mark sheet without rounding.
  • CGPA/OGPA conversion: Minimum 6 on 10-point scale considered 60% if no official conversion exists.
  • Candidates must make their own stay arrangements.
  • Incomplete online applications will be rejected.
  • False declarations will disqualify the candidate.
  • Both online application and signed hard copy submission are mandatory.
  • If seats in a discipline remain vacant, they may be allocated to other disciplines.

  1. Register on www.mhrdnats.gov.in as “Student” to get a unique registration number.
  2. Visit IRCON official website at www.ircon.org
  3. Navigate to HR & Career → Career @ IRCON → Apprentices under Act 1961.
  4. Create account using personal email and mobile number (or login if existing user).
  5. Read instructions carefully.
  6. Fill application form with personal, educational, and post details.
  7. Upload documents (PDFs max 2MB; photograph/signature JPG max 2MB):
    • Class 10 certificate
    • Degree/Diploma certificates and mark sheets
    • CGPA conversion proof (if applicable)
    • Caste/EWS certificates (if applicable)
    • Identity proof (Aadhaar/PAN/Voter ID/Passport)
    • Recent passport-size photograph
    • Signature in digital format
  8. Preview and verify details, submit online.
