Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) has released notification for recruitment of 01 Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the Industrial Research & Development Unit. The post carries a consolidated fellowship of Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA @ 27%. Eligibility Criteria
- 1st Class B.Tech in Civil Engineering and 1st Class M.Tech in Hydrology / Water Resources / Hydraulics.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.
- NET/GATE qualification required (relaxable for eligible CFTI graduates with CGPA > 8.0).
- Desirable experience: Hands-on with hydrologic & hydraulic models (HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS 1D/2D, Aquaveo WMS, SWMM, MIKE, TUFLOW, MODFLOW).
- Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydrodynamics, reservoir operations, sediment transport.
- GIS knowledge for basemaps, layouts, cross-section drawings, inundation maps.
- 5% relaxation in marks for SC/ST candidates as per institute norms.
Salary / Stipend
- Consolidated Fellowship: Rs. 37,000/- per month.
- HRA: Additional 27% as per norms.
- In case of retired/superannuated government employee, salary fixed as per IRD norms.

Selection Process

- Selection is contractual, renewable yearly based on performance or until project completion.
