ICAR IARI Field Assistant Recruitment 2026 – Overview
ICAR IARI, Regional Station Shimla, has released notification for recruitment of Field Assistants for research projects in agriculture and horticulture. This walk-in recruitment is temporary, project-based, and candidates will work on contractual terms until completion of the project. The selected candidates will be stationed at IARI Shimla but may be required to attend field trials at different locations in Himachal Pradesh.

Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: 12th Pass (Science / Agriculture)
- Experience: Post 1 – Minimum 3 years experience in laboratory/field work handling equipment; Post 2 – Minimum 1 year experience in laboratory/field work
- Desirable Qualification: Post 1 – Work experience in pathogen isolation, fungicide/pesticide applications; Post 2 – Work experience in agriculture/horticulture crops
- Age Limit: 21–30 years (Relaxation: 5 years SC/ST & Women, 3 years OBC)
- Other Requirements: Candidate should be able-bodied, willing to work on project requirements, and flexible for field assignments in Himachal Pradesh.
Salary / Stipend
- Field Assistant (Post 1): ₹20,000/- per month + 10% HRA
- Field Assistant (Post 2): ₹15,000/- per month (consolidated)
- Engagement is temporary and contractual; no claim for regularization is permitted.
Selection Process
- Walk-in Interview on 21 January 2026 at 11:00 AM.
- Only candidates meeting the essential qualifications will be interviewed.
- Selection is based on educational qualification, relevant experience, and performance in interview.
- Decision of the selection committee is final and binding.
General Instructions / Important Information
- Post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.
- No TA/DA will be provided for attending the walk-in interview.
- Candidates currently employed must bring a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their present employer.
- Selected candidates will be stationed at ICAR-IARI Regional Station, Shimla but must attend field trials across Himachal Pradesh as required.
- Bring original documents and one set of photocopies along with the duly filled application form at the time of interview.
- Concealing facts or canvassing in any form will lead to disqualification.

- Fill the form in own handwriting with blue/black ink.
- Bring the filled form, original certificates, one photocopy set, and recent passport-size photograph to the venue.
