Job Description
The Assistant Engineer will be responsible for planning, supervising, and executing civil, mechanical, and electrical projects under ESIC Chandigarh. The role requires technical expertise, project management skills, and coordination with contractors and other departments.
- Supervise construction, maintenance, and repair work of ESIC hospitals and offices in Chandigarh
- Prepare cost estimates, work schedules, and project documentation
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and statutory requirements
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal departments for smooth project execution
- Review technical drawings, designs, and engineering specifications
- Assist in tendering, procurement, and material management processes
Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification: B.Tech/B.E in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
- Experience: Minimum 2 years experience in public sector or government projects preferred
- Age Limit: Not exceeding 35 years. Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per government norms

Salary / Pay Scale
- Assistant Engineer – ₹60,000 – ₹1,80,000 per month (as per ESIC pay scale)
