Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- Joint General Manager (Operations) – 1/JGM/Ops: BE/B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Civil) OR MBA (2 yrs, Marketing/International Business/Logistics) with required work experience.
- Engineer (Operations) – 1/Eng/Ops: BE/B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Civil) OR MBA (2 yrs) with work experience.
- Engineer (Civil) – 2/Eng/C: B.E./B.Tech (Civil) with experience.
- Engineer (Safety) – 3/Eng/Sty: BE/B.Tech (Electrical/Civil/Mechanical) + 1-year Diploma/Degree in Safety with experience.
- Assistant Manager (Security) – 4/AM/Sec: Graduate + experience.
- Supervisor (Legal) – 5/Sup/Legal: LL.B + experience.
- Engineer (AMS) – 6/Eng/AMS: BE/B.Tech (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics) + experience.
Work Experience (as on 01.01.2026)
- PRCE/Deputation: Experience in relevant department; retired/working in Govt./Metro/PSU; free from D&AR & Vigilance angle.
- JGM: Minimum 14 years post-qualification Gazetted/Executive experience.
- Assistant Manager/Engineer: Minimum 2 years post-qualification Executive experience.
- Supervisor: Minimum 2 years post-qualification Supervisory experience.
- FTCE Engineer: Minimum 2 years Executive professional experience in relevant field; preference for Tamil Nadu/Chennai candidates.
Age Limit
- PRCE: 55–62 years
- Deputation: Max 55 years
- FTCE Engineer: Max 40 years
- Age relaxation as per Tamil Nadu Government rules.
Selection Process
- Deputation: Personal Interview / Screening
- PRCE & FTCE: Interview/Screening + Medical Fitness Examination
- Assessments: Knowledge, skills, aptitude, physical fitness.

FTCE Engineer Posts
Monthly CTC: Rs. 97,820 (Consolidated) including benefits like accommodation, transport, medical, LTA, canteen. Annual increment 3%.
Other Important Instructions
- TA/DA as per entitlement for outstation duty.
- Leaves: 8 days CL (pro-rata), 18 days EL per year.
- Engagement terminates on term expiry or earlier with one month notice.
- Pre-Engagement Medical Examination required.
- Character & antecedents verification mandatory.
- Training cost recoverable if candidate leaves within 3 years.
- Job Location: Initially Chennai (CMRL Phase-II). Transferable anywhere in India/abroad.
