The Department of Animal Husbandry Himachal Pradesh has released an official notification for recruitment of 14 Multi Task Worker (Pashu Mitra) posts under the office of Deputy Director, Animal Health/Breeding, Kullu. This recruitment is targeted at candidates with a minimum qualification of Matric (10th) and basic knowledge of animal husbandry activities. Selected candidates will work part-time for 4 hours a day and will receive a fixed monthly honorarium of ₹5,000/-.

Vacancy Details
The recruitment is for Multi Task Worker (Pashu Mitra) posts at veterinary hospitals under Kullu district. A total of 14 posts are available for eligible candidates.

Eligibility Criteria
- Essential Qualification: Matric (10th) pass from any recognized school in Himachal Pradesh. Bonafide Himachali exempted from requirement of Himachal school matric.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of animal husbandry activities.
- Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of customs, manners, and dialects of Himachal Pradesh.
- Normal / neighboring resident of Gram Panchayat / Urban Local Bodies under jurisdiction of the concerned veterinary institution.
- Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
- Physically fit, able-bodied, and of sound mind and character.
Salary / Stipend
Selected candidates will work on a part-time basis (4 hours/day) and will receive a fixed honorarium of ₹5,000/- per month. This is a contractual engagement under the Department of Animal Husbandry HP and may be revised as per government policies in future.
Age Limit (as on 03 February 2026)
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 45 years
- Relaxation for reserved category candidates will be applicable as per Himachal Pradesh government norms.
Selection Process
The recruitment process for Multi Task Worker (Pashu Mitra) posts involves two stages:
- Stage-I: Physical Test – Candidates must be able to carry 25 Kg weight for 100 meters within one minute. Schedule, venue, and date of the test will be notified separately.
- Stage-II: Merit List and Counselling – Pashu Mitra Engagement Committee (PMEC) will prepare a panel of 5 candidates per institution based on merit (matric marks, experience, physical test performance). Shortlisted candidates will be called for document verification at counselling before final engagement.
General Instructions for Candidates
- Application must be submitted on prescribed Annexure-A form using A-4 size paper only. Applications in other formats will be rejected.
- Form must be filled in candidate’s own handwriting with blue/black ink ballpoint pen.
- All essential qualifications must be fulfilled on the last date of submission.
- Incomplete applications (missing signature, photograph, enclosures, or empty fields) or late submissions will be rejected without reason.
- Attach self-attested photocopies of all required certificates issued by competent authorities. Originals will be verified during counselling.
- Detailed marksheet of matriculation standard must be attached. Evaluation will be based solely on matric marks even if higher qualification is obtained.
- Engagement letter will be issued after verification, and candidates must submit medical fitness certificate before joining.
How to Apply
- Download the prescribed application form (Annexure-A) from the official website: hpagrisnet.gov.in.
- Fill out the application in your own handwriting and attach self-attested photocopies of all required documents.
- Submit the application to the Senior Veterinary Officer (SVO) of the respective Sub Divisional Veterinary Hospital as per Annexure-D.
- Applications must reach the SVO office on or before 03 February 2026 by 4 PM.
- Original certificates and documents will be verified at the time of counselling for successful candidates.
