ESIC Teaching Faculty Eligibility Criteria 2026
Professor: MD/MS in concerned subject. Minimum three years’ experience as Associate Professor in recognized medical institution or equivalent Armed Forces experience. At least two research publications (first three authors) after becoming Associate Professor. Basic Course in Biomedical Research is mandatory.
Associate Professor: MD/MS in concerned subject. Four years’ experience as Assistant Professor (five years if directly appointed in Government institution). Two research publications after becoming Assistant Professor. Biomedical Research Course required.
Assistant Professor: MD/MS in concerned subject. One year as Senior Resident in recognized institution or equivalent teaching/clinical experience as per rules. Diploma holders require additional prescribed experience.
Senior Resident (Clinical): MD/MS in concerned specialty with relevant clinical experience.
Non-Clinical Subjects: M.Sc with Ph.D in concerned subject with qualifying teaching experience.
