Eligibility Criteria

• Constable (UB): Higher Secondary (HS) or Class XII passed from recognized Board/Council.
• Constable (AB): HSLC or Class X passed from recognized Board/Council.
• Must be a Citizen of India and Permanent Resident of Assam.
• Must speak Assamese or any other State language fluently.
• Age: 18 to 25 years as on 01-01-2026 (Relaxation as per govt rules).

Salary/Stipend

• Pay Scale: Rs. 14,000 - 70,000/- per month
• Grade Pay: Rs. 5,600/-

Selection Process

• Stage 1: Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
• Stage 2: Medical Examination
• Stage 3: Physical Standard Test (PST)
• Stage 4: Written Test (50 marks, 100 MCQs)
• Stage 5: Oral/Viva-Voce (5 marks)
• Academic Weightage: 5 marks for Constable UB based on HS percentage
• Biometric verification and merit-based shortlisting for next stages
